I'm a percussionist living in Athens, OH.

I received my BM in performance from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2007 and I'm currently applying to graduate schools.

My main interest is in new music. Specifically the kind being produced by such groups/ensembles as Bang on a Can, Alarm Will Sound, So Percussion and Eighth Blackbird.

First (mini) Recital..

I’m planning on playing quite a few recitals during my graduate studies (there’s just so much music I want to perform), and I’ve begun putting together different program ideas. The first recital I want to do will include piano music from my favorite composers: Pieces Froides: Trois Danses de Traves - Erik Satie Dream - John Cage Midnight winds of London - Harold Budd Suite for Toy Piano - John Cage Opening - Philip Glass I feel like it’s becoming a little cliche to put “Opening” as the opener for a percussion recitals these days, but I still really like the piece and it has some significance to me. So, to avoid being cliche I will close my recital with it… clever, right? I may also try to get another grad student here to work on Piano Phase so that I can include it and add a duo piece to the program… otherwise I need to find another piece. Maybe something by Babbitt. I’m interested in what the (few) followers I have think about this idea.
