I'm a percussionist living in Athens, OH.

I received my BM in performance from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2007 and I'm currently applying to graduate schools.

My main interest is in new music. Specifically the kind being produced by such groups/ensembles as Bang on a Can, Alarm Will Sound, So Percussion and Eighth Blackbird.

Here’s a teaser of the Ohio University Percussion Ensemble performing Dong-Wook Park’s Contrast. This work combines a traditional Korean percussion duo (performing on Janggo, Buk, Kkwaenggwari and Jing) with a westren percussion quintet

Be sure to check out their PASIC performance Wednesday at 1:00pm (they kick off the session that Percussion Group Cincinnati performs on).

Here’s a performance of Cage’s 1948 piano piece Dream.

After seeing a video of Thad Anderson performing this piece I decided to get the score and make my own arrangement. There wasn’t enough time in the studio class for me to perform the whole work so I only took one pass, but throughout the piece I begin adding octave doublings in some of the vibe passages (in much the same way that Dr. Anderson adds crotales to the texture).
